Day 1  
From Vancouver enjoy a beautiful drive up the Sunshine Coast. Your journey begins with a scenic 40 minute ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay to Langdale.   Upon arrival, visit the seaside village of Gibsons, home to the famous TV series "The Beachcombers".  Continue up the coast and enjoy the picturesque waterfront.  A relaxing scenic drive North takes you along the coastline - craggy, lichen covered bluffs; moss laden forests; Arbutus studded outcrops pass by on your right and, to your left, the magnificent panoramic Strait of Georgia.

Discover one of the many great restaurants in the Pender Harbour area.  Some favourites include The Restaurant at Painted Boat with creative coastal cuisine and the Garden Bay Restaurant or Pub with breathtaking views of Pender Harbour.

Day 2
Discover the spectacular Princess Louisa Inlet by water & air on a Float & Fly Tour with Sunshine Coast Tours. Your adventure begins as you depart by boat from Egmont for the Princess Louisa Inlet. This narrated cruise covers 30 nautical miles through Jervis Inlet into a steep sided, glacial carved inlet. Observe larger than life landscapes, waterfalls, native pictographs, glaciers and early settlements from the comfort of the boat. Inside Princess Louisa Inlet there is a stop at Chatterbox Falls for a picnic lunch (not included) and time to explore the marine park. The adventure continues as you board a float plane for an amazing flight over the inlets. This once in a lifetime trip from Chatterbox Falls to Egmont allows views from beyond the skyline ridges into alpine areas not visible from the boat.

After your tour, depart for Powell River / Lund on the Upper Sunshine Coast.  At Earl's Cove, the North-Westerly tip of the Lower Coast, board BC Ferries for a relaxing 50-minute ride across the Jervis Inlet to Saltery Bay.  Photographers will be delighted with breathtaking scenery encompassing small islands, waterfalls and towering snowcapped mountains.  The Upper Sunshine Coast is an area of pristine beauty and a vibrant cultural life.

Relax and enjoy waterfront dining at the Eagles Landing Bistro. Nestled among proud, majestic trees and lost amid the tranquility of nature .... eagles soar overhead as you relax and dine and where every table has a fantastic water view.

Day 3
For a scenic and comfortable hike the whole family can enjoy, beautiful Inland Lake is a great half-day trip. This popular Powell River destination offers a wide and easy hiking trail around its entire circumference. Recently designated a Provincial Park, Inland Lake's full trail offers 12km of pathways including boardwalks, bridges and a crushed limestone path.  The area is excellent for swimming, boating and fishing (there are six fishing piers along the trail).

Discover authentic Mexican cuisine with a Tex-Mex influence at La Casita.  Enjoy traditional comidas, great margaritas, excellent service and a welcoming fiesta every night.

Day 4

Discover the Wild Coast: Beyond Desolation Sound by Zodiac with a marine sightseeing tour.  Journey into the heart of the wilderness, though Desolation Sound, up Humphray Channel and into Toba Inlet. The farther you go, the more stunning the surroundings and wildlife become.  A trip of a lifetime for serious adventurers!  This tour is most beautiful in September when the waterfalls are spectacular.  The aim is to get up to the Brem River in the Toba Inlet and enjoy the many wonderful stops along the way.

Dining is an experience to savour at Snickers with their mouth-watering Greek, Italian, French and nouvelle cuisine. Enjoy the gorgeous sight of the sandy bluffs of Harwood Island or the breathtaking views of the snowy mountains of Vancouver Island. Picture

Day 5
Sea kayaking is great! Snorkeling is great! So, why not combine the two with a Snorkel n Kayak Combo Tour with Powell River Sea Kayak.  These wonderful activities come together to create a unique on-water and in-water experience. What better way to access some of the best snorkeling sites on the coast but by sea kayak? First, enjoy a leisurely paddle and soak up the beautiful scenery and interesting wildlife as your guide leads you to the key site for snorkeling. At this island-site, you will then don your full 5mm wetsuit and snorkeling equipment for an underwater adventure, where giant sea stars, colourful creatures and spiny-back rockfish will delight your senses. After the snorkeling adventure and a relaxing on-shore break, it's time to load back into the kayaks for the paddle home.

This evening experience a tantalizing dinner at one of the many restaurants on Powell River's dining scene. Some favourites include the Shinglemill with a dynamite view of Powell Lake and the Treefrog Bistro, offering a refreshingly different menu.

Day 6
As your trip comes to an end, start heading back to Vancouver but take some time to enjoy the spectacular marine and mountain scenery as you board the ferry for your 50 minute crossing to Earls Cove and lower Sunshine Coast.  Travel South through ocean vistas and lush forest stopping off in Egmont at the Backeddy Pub for a delicious lunch with a spectacular view of Sechelt Inlet.  Their food is sourced locally and they carry a great selection of craft beers.  Continue on to Langdale and your final 40 minute ferry ride back to Horseshoe Bay. Reflect, contentedly, as you cruise through the breathtakingly beautiful passage back to Vancouver, studded by stunning emerald islands.
