Day 1
Your Coastal Winter Escape begins with a 40 minute ferry trip across Howe Sound to the Sunshine Coast. This is a memorable journey with its scenes of glacier carved peaks and snow-covered forests. Upon arrival, explore the coast by visiting the charming village of Roberts Creek, walking the seawall at Davis Bay - perfect for winter storm watching and discovering the variety of specialty shops chock-full of local unique gifts.
Prepare for an amazing evening under the stars, enjoying the snow with
Alpha Adventures Starlight & Fondue Snowshoe Guided Tour. The evening air literally sparkles as you head out for a 2 hour snowshoe tour. Finish things off with a special chocolate fondue treat.
Retire & rejuvenate at the Bed & Breakfast, Suite or Cottage of your choice
Day 2
Experience a great day out on the snow with a
Guided Cross Country Ski Tour or Lesson. You will meet with a certified instructors for a guided tour (or lesson) of the Dakota Ridge area. You'll experience unsurpassed winter scenery as you explore the network of track-set trails, followed by a hot cocoa afterwards.
This evening dining at one of the Sunshine Coast's hidden gems,
Smitty's Oyster House. This once tired, forgotten marine repair shop has been transformed into one of BC's most memorable eateries. Nestled on the shoreline of Gibsons Harbour, next to one of Canada's few remaining working wharfs; watch the halibut and crab trawlers unload their catch, as your taste buds are heightened with local wares and delicious BC wines.

Day 3
A perfect ending to your trip is a winter hike in
Cliff Gilker Regional Park, where you will discover a large growth Douglas Fir Forest. The trails will take you alongside the rushing waters of Roberts Creek. You will cross the creek at various points on rustic wooden bridges and the waterfall is a highlight, especially during the winter.
Pleasantly tired, make your way back to Langdale and take in the views of the spectacular snow covered North Shore Mountains as you board your ferry home.
